LOGistICAL: Chile

LOGistICAL now expands into South America introducing Chile.


At an average of 150 km wide and over 4,000 km long, Chile is quite a unique long country.

LOGistICAL: Chile is a small sized module but full of town challenges and multiple play areas with new discovery contracts.
 

Updates

The main update with this build is the addition of icon links to help pages. There are four main types of help with images, videos, statistics and URLs.

There are a few basic links to begin with and more on the way.

LOGistICAL: Norway

Now for the second release of the week, LOGistICAL: Norway.


LOGistICAL: Norway is a medium sized module full of town challenges, a quarantine zone, many islands and Norway's famous fjords.

Additionally there is a new local industry and quite a few discovery contracts.

Norway is long and the fjordes are detailed with many towns along the way.
 

Updates

Well plans for the second part of this weeks updates have been trumped by a new Windows 10 OS update causing a few unexpected crashes in LOGistICAL among other things, so unfortunately we will have to wait until next week to see those ones.

I did some more remodeling to the back end to reduce the amount of data being loaded per each module. This may help significantly for those that have had any trouble loading and playing large modules (eg: Germany).

Anyway, enjoy Norway and I will keep mending and building. Thanks for your support.

LOGistICAL: USA - Oregon

It has been a busy week with two releases coming out as well as a bunch of backend updates.



The first release is:

LOGistICAL: USA - Oregon

LOGistICAL: USA - Oregon extends LOGistICAL across the states of the USA.

LOGistICAL: USA - Oregon is a smaller game module specifically designed to help new players play the LOGistICAL world without getting too overwhelmed.
New players should still do the tutorial (Flinders Island near Tasmania, Australia) and The Isle of Man (between England and Ireland) module, both included for free with every release.

LOGistICAL: USA - Oregon is not just for the beginner. There are over 300 towns to complete and plenty of puzzling strategies to work through.
 

Updates

There is a lot of backend work that doesn't show much, so here is the short list of obvious changes.

* New save and callback routine. This is not the complete solution to the upcoming save functionality.
* Speed ups for 50, 100, 150 and 200 towns completed. With new releases getting speedups is not always easy and available, so now generic contracts across all the modules gives you up to 8x speed (not to mention the one at the end of the Isle of Man).

The next module, LOGistICAL: Norway, will also be out later this week.

Statistical LOGistICAL List View

There is now a new view in Statistical LOGistICAL (F2).


New "List" view for statistics. Though not "Search", it comes pretty close.
- All columns are "click" sortable.
- Default sort is alpha-numeric on "Town Name"
- Click to swap between "List" view and the original "Tree" view.
- Click on town title to show town popup and center map on town
- Ctrl-Click on town to show town popup (no map move)
- F2 to open (as per original)
- Ctrl-F2 to open without refresh (sorts and open sections stay)
- Selected mode (List or Tree) saves with game save
- Towns not found are not clickable.
